British Ceramics
Mellors & Kirk’s specialist sales of British pottery and porcelain range from single items to entire specialist collections which amongst others have included the R & S Edmundson Collection of Caughley and Coalport porcelain and the Duke of Newcastle’s 18th century Derby dessert service that made almost £100,000, a record for an English 18th century service.
Nottingham’s remarkable brown stoneware of mid 18th century, always beautifully potted and light in weight, English Delftware, slipware and 18th and 19th century pottery and Wedgwood feature prominently in Mellors & Kirk’s quarterly Fine Art Sales. Equally important are the products of the great English and Welsh porcelain factories including Worcester, Derby, Chelsea and Swansea. Later wares including this single Wedgwood Fairyland lustre vase which sold for £4,000 are guaranteed a good reception.
British Ceramics are included in all Mellors & Kirk Sales, including our curated two-day monthly Antique & Collectors Sales.
