A FINE FACSIMILE MANUSCRIPT OF HORACE published in Rome, Regia Officina Polygraphica, 1933, example number 293, two 4to volumes with superb facsimile manuscript leaves on thick parchment, reproducing exactly the original (even down to cut-away corners and edges of leaves), rubricated latin text with decorative capitals, finely bound in full blind-panelled calf over wooden boards, reproducing the original bindings, with central and corner metal bosses, clasps and catches, bottom compartment of one volume missing some leather, a high-quality and expensively-produced work which gives the impression, on first inspection, that you are looking at a genuine manuscript (2)
