Two volumes bound in four, elephant folio, Tome I with 118 lithographed plates of which 37 have some foxing, Tome II with 115 lithographed plates (2 double-page) of which 20 have some foxing, 167 plates being hand-coloured, contemporary half calf with marbled boards, spines with double labels. Reference: Garrison-Morton #2286 - "The fine illustrations of gross pathology make this one of the greatest works of its kind. Cruveilhier, first professor of pathological anatomy in Paris, gave the first description of multiple sclerosis (in vol.2) and an early description of 'Cruveilhier's palsy'." (4)
