Third edition, second issue, 8vo, 4 hand-coloured plates by Leech, final plate with short tear to outer edge without loss, some offsetting of frontispiece to title, reddish-brown cloth, short 1/2 inch crack starting to top of upper joint, slight wear to very top and bottom of spine, a good copy. Conforms to the first edition second issue with following points noted: red and blue title; blue half-title; broken serif on 'D' of 'Dickens' in gilt cartouche on upper board; yellow end-papers; uncorrected text; 'STAVE ONE' chapter heading on first leaf of text
