First edition, first impression, 4to, calligraphic text and 48 coloured plates, short repaired tear to right-hand margin of title (without loss), a clean and very good copy in the publisher's gilded quarter-vellum, slight wear to very top and bottom of spine, lower board with a circa 1-inch area of gouged surface wear. With the (rare) original dust wrapper, its spine largely lacking and partially replaced with a careful manuscript copy, worn with repaired tears.
