Tall folio, 11 engraved plates (complete), contemporary half calf, rubbed, upper board with large black morocco and gilt title onlay. Despite the title, vol I part I was never actually published, nor indeed were any other volumes. Additionally the list of plates indicates 13 in total but with plates V and VIII being "delivered with a subsequent portion of this work" - so all copies have 11 plates only. A rare work, only 300 copies having been printed - 250 standard size at 4 guineas, and 50 large paper copies at double the price. Our copy measures approx 46 x 31 cm.
