A SPANISH REVIVALIST LUSTREWARE FLAT DISH, PROBABLY LE CERAMO VALENCIA, LATE 19TH C of pale cream tin glazed earthenware, painted in coppery brown and dark blue with four quadrants of atauriques, two alternately in resist on a lustre ground and linked by an 'alafia', the underside with concentric circles, 46cm diamAn identical example was one of the group of eight acquired for the Victoria & Albert Museum from Escofet, Fortuny & Co in Madrid in the late 19th century.
