A FINE ORIGINAL COLLECTION OF AIRMAIL COVERS, 1929-40 almost all British Empire, mainly Australia - England, also Ceylon, Northern Rhodesia, Nigeria, New Guinea, Papua, New Zealand, Canada, Gibraltar and Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika, all addressed to Lieutenant Colonel W G Officer or his daughter Miss Angela Officer, in four black cloth binders, each gilt blocked with the initials A.M.J.O. (200 approx)Provenance: Lieutenant Colonel William Gerald Officer (1883-1957) and his daughter Angela Margaret Jervis Officer (1929-2015). Angela Officer married in 1950 Captain Godfrey Herbert Richard Cavendish (1912-1958) of the Indian army, the son of Godfrey L J Cavendish (1884-1915) [ direct descendent of the 4th Duke of Devonshire] and Cora Grace Graham Horsford (1885-1962)
