TWO COALPORT MUGS AND A JUG, 1841-1862 with painted or printed and painted decoration, jug 21cm hThe "Octagon [sic] Jug" is illustrated in William Hedley's Traveller's Book. See 1970/81, pp77 and 303. Fine artist's flower groups on the mugs were soon replaced by 'bouquet' flowers.
