A PAIR OF MADELEY PORCELAIN VASES AFTER A SÈVRES POT POURRI A JOUR, C1830 alternately painted with panels of Sèvres style birds and flowers by Thomas Martin Randall and Robert Bix Gray, 13.5cm hProvenance: Freda and Colin Wharf.Illustrated: Turner 1908, p254, fig XX, a white vase of this shape and size belonging to the family of Mr R B Gray. These vases appear to be rare examples of Randall's own Madeley porcelain. The Sèvres birds in landscapes attributed to Randall, the flower groups to R B Gray.
