YANGTSE INCIDENT NGS GROUP OF THREE Naval General Service Medal, two claps Malaya and Yangtse 1949 SMX 818272 T J HODGINS BOY 1 RN, Korea Medal (unnamed replacement) and UN Korea Medal, mounted, sold with a copy of the book Loyal and Steadfast The Story of HMS Consort, 2008 and Yangtse Incident 60th Anniversary Commemorative booklet, signed by the recipientTerry Hodgins served on the Royal Naval Destroyer HMS Consort under Commander Robertson. The ship was ordered to go to the assistance of HMS Amethyst which she repeatedly attempted to take in tow whilst under heavy fire on 20 April 1949. She sustained heavy damage resulting in the loss of 10 men and 23 wounded.
