WORLD WAR ONE MEMORIAL PLAQUE ALBERT HORACE LUCASSergeant Albert Horace Lucas, DCM, MM, born Nottingham 1886, a miner at Gedling Colliery enlisted on 13 August 1914 and served in the RAMC. He was decorated with the DCM for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the retreat from Mons. He was subsequently awarded the Military Medal and died of wounds sustained during the Amiens offensive in August 1918.
