A QUEEN ANNE SILVER TANKARD engraved with armorials, 18.5cm h, marked on lid, body and handle, by John Rand, London 1707, scratch weight 33 = 3, 32ozsProvenance: The marital arms are those of William Smyth of Little Houghton and his wife Lucy Charlotte Stopford, daughter of the Rev and Hon Richard Bruce Stopford, Canon of Windsor. They were married on 21 May 1844; thence by descent to the late owner Christope Guy Vere Davidge, OBE, DL (1929-2014).
