MABEL PENELOPE SEFTON (1881-1957) A PAINTED ENAMEL PLAQUE OF LOVERS signed, dated May 1908 and inscribed on the counter enamel in gold, 10 x 8cm, framed Provenance: The Blood Collection, sold in these 'rooms on behalf of the executors of the late Frank Blood, 26 February 2009, lot 19.The inscription, "Come, fill the cup and in the fire of Spring/the Winter Garment of Repentance Fling; A Bird of Time has but a Little Way to Fly- and Lo the Bird is on the Wing", is the VII Quatrain from Fitzgerald's translation of Omar Khyaam.
