A DOCUMENTARY ENGLISH PORCELAIN PLATE, PROBABLY COALPORT, LONDON DECORATED, DATED 1814 painted by William Silk with a moonlit coastal scene in a border of roses, 22.5cm diam, faintly signed W Silk 1814William Silk worked firstly at the Caughley factory where he is known to have painted landscapes and was later employed in the decorating establishment of Charles Muss at Great Windmill Street, London.
