AN UNUSUAL MAHOGANY DAYBED IN THE MANNER OF DR CHRISTOPHER DRESSER, C1880 covered in buttoned horsehair, 66cm h; 61 x 170cmWith its distinctive raked back and short turned legs, derived from Greek and Egyptian models, the refined design of this daybed bears marked similarities with some of the forms of Dresser's furniture for the short lived Art Furnishers' Alliance of the early 1880s.
