Mary Cruz, Bath, by whom sold to the present vendor in January 1998.The sitters can be identified as Mrs Mary Massey, nee Goodman (1785-1856) and her three children, Francis Elcocke Massey (1822-1898), Margaret Henrietta Maria Massey (1825-1899) and William Glynne Massey (1831- Lieutenant, killed in action at Judgispore, India, 1858).
