AYRES, [PHILIP], EMBLEMS OF LOVE, IN FOUR LANGUAGES. London, Printed for John Wren, [circa 1750]. 8vo, 90 leaves (all engraved), 44 plates, some soiling and marks mainly from the plate impressions, full calf, some cracking to joints and worn at extremities. This is a reissue of the plates of the earlier 1714 edition (hence the marks to some plates), with an engraved title page and introductory sonnet. The book is undated, but the printer John Wren was active between 1748 and 1757, and the British Library suggests a date of c1750. ESTC T232469
