ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGE DUNN (1741-1825) RALPH BIGLAND GARTER PRINCIPAL KING OF ARMS pencil, oval, 15 x 12.5cm, English School, early 19th c Miss Smith, watercolour on coloured paper, oval, 11 x 9.5cm and Sir George Hayter, sheet of four studies of a young woman and seated man (3)Hester Smith (1798-1833) eldest daughter of George Smith of Ashstead married in 1821 as his first wife Edmund Lomax (1778-1847). According to the old label on the frame, the present portrait was to be given to Shelley Scarlett, 5th Baron Abinger (1872-1917).
