ROYAL NAVY. THE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM OF LIEUT. WILLIAM ARTHUR FRANCIS FRYER, RN (1916-1940) OF SHROTON HOUSE, BLANDFORD, DOVER, his Record and Certificates as a Cadet and Midshipman 1929-33, and official photographs, mostly captioned in pencil including the Graf Zeppelin 1933, series of the sinking of the ocean liner "Ausonia" 18 October 1935, aerial photographs, postcards, telegrams, invitations and offical letters, red cloth, 20 x 27cm and the Midshipmen's Journal of J E A Marriott, RN (2)Lieut W A F Fryer of the Fleet Air Arm died in service, HMS "Ark Royal", August 1940. The album includes several newspaper cuttings, one giving an account of his rescue by trawlermen after ditching his aircraft, a Vickers Vildebeest, in the Firth of Forth
